Natural Products Expo West Memo: Was That Really Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie At Friday's Nutracon Natural Foods Conference?

Attendees at the Nutracon Natural Foods Conference, which took place Thursday and Friday at the Hilton Hotel in Anaheim, California in conjunction with the ongoing Natural Products Expo West trade show, were buzzing on Friday--and it wasn't over the conference's main educational session of the day, "Sushi and Steroids," either.

No, what had this crowd of normally cool and laid-back natural products industry pros flustered was the presence of actor Brad Pitt and his significant other, actress Angelina Jolie--or two very good look-a-likes--on the conference floor.

We personally only caught a very brief glimpse of the real or faux Hollywood dynamic duo. But others in the exhibit arena portion of the event moved closer to the couple for a better look, with many smiling and waving to the box office stars, who it is said are serious natural and organic products' consumers. Others conference attendees crowded around the famous thespian couple, who were viewing the various natural products on display in the room.

As to whether or not the pair was actually the real Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the jury seems to still be out. We talked to a few people who saw the couple--some from afar others up-close--and the results of our informal poll were about 50-50, with half saying they thought they were the real deal, while the other half said they were impostors, probably hired by the conference organizers to spice up the event a bit.

Since we were busy, we decided not to pursue our research project beyond that point. However, we do have a picture that was taken of Pitt and Jolie on the Nutracon conference floor on Friday, March 13. (See the picture at top left.)
